For haulage yards, building sites and warehouses, and the office that pays them.

Pay the week your managers signed off.

Hiring, timesheets, leave, expenses and payroll figures in one place, from the job advert to month end. The hours approved on Friday are the hours payroll reads, with nobody chasing them.

  • No card required
  • Everything included
  • UK rules built in

See the real thing.

No mock-ups. This is Weekyard with a haulage firm's week in it — the same week staff log, managers approve and payroll runs.

My Work in Weekyard: week 44 with 34.7 hours logged, each day's hours as a bar, what to do next and leave left
The same week on a phone, with clocking in one tap away
Everyone sees their own week — hours logged, what to do next, leave left. On a phone, clocking in is one tap.

Friday afternoon, and one week has three answers.

Every export, every copy-paste and every “final_v3.xlsx” is a chance for the number an employee agreed to and the number they were paid to drift apart. That drift is what turns into a grievance nine months later.

Weekyard keeps one record of the week, from the moment somebody clocks in to the moment payroll reads it.

What payroll should payNobody is sure

Every hour somebody works should reach their payslip, without anybody having to chase it.

That is the whole job. The rest of this page is how Weekyard does it.

Follow one week through it.

Week 44 for Danielle, a yard operative at Riverside Depot. Nobody rekeys it, nobody chases it, and the number payroll reads is the one her manager signed.

  1. Monday07:58

She clocks in at the kitchen door.

A shared tablet by the door, tied to the depot by a circle on a map. No account to remember, and the hours land on week 44 the moment she taps.

Wall terminals, the desktop clock or a timesheet — all on the same week.

  2. Wednesday18:30

She stays late, and it goes to the right person.

Ninety minutes of overtime goes straight to whoever approves her team. Nobody forwards an email, and nobody has to remember on Friday.

Requests route themselves from the teams you have already set up.

  3. Friday16:10

Her manager clears the week in one list.

Timesheets, overtime, swaps, leave and expenses wait in the same queue. Approve the week and it locks — what payroll reads is exactly what was signed off.

A refusal comes back with the reason on it.

  4. Month end31 October

Payroll reads the week, not a spreadsheet.

Approved weeks roll into the run with dated detail under every total. Whoever runs your payroll keys it straight in, without chasing anybody.

Hourly people run weekly, salaried people monthly — from the same approved weeks.

Anyone can build a leave request form.

Payroll teams distrust HR software because of a handful of rules that are fiddly and expensive to get wrong. Judge us on those. Here is one, worked all the way through.

Mileage that does not quietly tax your people.

HMRC’s approved rate drops from 45p to 25p after 10,000 business miles in a tax year — and one long journey can cross that line halfway through.

Weekyard pays each half at the rate it earned, and fixes that rate onto the claim the moment it is submitted.

What Weekyard pays

A flat 45p across the boundary pays £315.00. The extra £60.00 is not a bonus — it is a taxable benefit the employee has to account for.

Payroll weeks that line up with your tax year

Week 1 starts at your tax year, not on 1 January, and maps back onto the weeks the timesheets were filled in on. Salaried people run monthly, hourly people weekly, and both come out of the same approved weeks.

Leave balances nobody has to argue about

Entitlement, adjustments, carry-over, days booked, days still waiting on a yes and the bank holidays that come out of the allowance, in one sum. The employee, their manager and payroll read the same figure.

And before week one, a hiring process you could take to a tribunal.

The advert, the questions, the panel, the scores and the paperwork the law asks for — so the reason somebody was hired is written down while it is still true.

  • Scored against written, weighted criteria. Decided before the interviews, not after.

  • Northern Ireland fair employment, built in. Monitoring and the annual return, kept away from the shortlisters.

  • Candidates pick their interview slot. No account, no chain of emails.

Everything is included. Turn on what you need.

Switch parts on per organisation and per team, so one site can go first and a business that only wants leave and payroll never sees a hiring pipeline.

From £6 per person a month plus VAT, minimum 10 people. Every part included.

What people ask before they start.

Anything else, ask us at sales@weekyard.com.

What does it cost?

£6 per person per month plus VAT, with everything included — hiring, time, absence, people, expenses and pay. There is a minimum of 10 people, so a 10-person yard pays £60 a month and a 50-person business pays £300, both before VAT. Enterprise is the same product at web addresses of your own, and we price that with you. Either way, start with the 30-day trial — no card needed.

Does it work with our payroll software?

Yes, whatever you use — Sage, Xero, BrightPay, Moneysoft or a payroll bureau. Weekyard doesn’t replace your payroll. It hands over the approved hours, overtime and leave for each run, ready to key in or export, with the detail behind every total.

What is in the trial?

A real account, for 30 days, with everything switched on and no card taken. It is not a sandbox with sample data — it is the product, and anything you set up during the trial is still there afterwards.

Does Weekyard file with HMRC?

No. It hands whoever runs your payroll a set of figures they can key straight in, with the dated detail underneath every total.

Can we run several companies in one workspace?

Yes, and that is the ordinary case rather than an extra. One account holds as many companies as you need. Everybody has one employer, which owns their payroll, holidays and leave policy, and can do work for any of the others without being moved or duplicated.

Can we start with one site?

Yes. Parts are switched on per organisation and per team, so you can roll timesheets out to one depot before the rest.

Put one week through it.

Run a single week end to end — a timesheet, an approval, a leave request, a payroll run — and you will know inside an afternoon whether it fits.

No card required. From £6 per person a month plus VAT afterwards, minimum 10 people.
